About Me
Maddie is the founder of mh&co.—the home of the SMILE BLOG and a growing mental health community and brand. She pursued a degree in Psychology with minors in Neuroscience and Entrepreneurship at Wake Forest, and conducts research on emotional persistence and mental health among adolescents and emerging adults. Maddie is working toward a future career in clinical psychology, where she plans to support adolescents and young adults through therapy, community advocacy, and education.
Maddie is passionate about advocating for mental health, empowering young people to seek support, and creating accessible, evidence-informed resources that feel relatable.
Her work is rooted in the belief that talking openly about mental well-being can change lives. Through mh&co., Maddie hopes to close the gap between clinical knowledge and everyday self-care—offering content that encourages education, connection, and hope.
Outside of her work and studies, Maddie enjoys creative design, building websites, reading books, spending time with her four dogs, and being with the people who make her happiest.
“I created mh&co. because I wish I had a space like this when I was younger—somewhere to feel understood and learn more about my mental health without feeling overwhelmed or judged. There aren’t enough places where you can read real, honest tips that have helped others, find a community that gets it, and explore a lifestyle built on self-care, compassion, and growth. My hope is that this becomes one of those places.”
